erasing the outline of your being

I am usually erasing the outline of my being while I embroider or play tennis.  Occasionally while I sit still...But I'm a work in progress. 

I practice this, but sometimes spit flies out due to the grievance being all pointy with rage.

This is very much my dad's sense of humor here.  I love crows, even their brash noises.  I often see three crows in my front yard and they mimic squirrels so well I'm always surprised to see the crows instead.  I don't know if they're sassing the squirrels, making fun of them, or have been hanging out with them too much, but it's always delightful.

I paused this blog several years ago (9 wow!), because it didn't get any views.  I continued to keep my favorite pieces from books tucked away, however, and realized I was spending a lot of time digging to find my favorites.  So the blog is back.  More than anything, it's back because I enjoyed it.  Perhaps you will too.

I will reopen this blog with a favorite Roz Chast piece.  Due to poor organization over the past few years I forget which New Yorker this came from.  But like most Roz Chast pieces, I cherish the hell out of it.
